What is MCST?

MCST (Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy) is designed for anyone experiencing memory problems, with or without a formal dementia diagnosis. Run by qualified facilitators in a specialist therapy centre, it is a warm, welcoming way to stay mentally active while connecting with others who understand what you are going through.
Our sessions are ideal for anyone who is concerned about their memory and wants to take proactive steps to reduce their symptoms.

Recommended by NICE

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy is the only non-drug treatment recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to improve cognition, independence and wellbeing.

What to expect from a session

Every session gives people the space to work through their concerns alongside others in a similar position, and to connect with people who truly understand. It is as much about company and confidence as it is about keeping the mind active.
Sessions are built around:
Engaging conversation
Thought-provoking games and quizzes
Reminiscence activities
MCST is available as full-day sessions and shorter micro sessions, depending on the location.
